My sister Gillian from Chez Gillian and I created the 12 Lists series last year which was so much fun, we’ve decided to continue it in 2016. 12 Lists is a monthly list-making series for those who love writing lists. Each month we announce the topic, write our lists accordingly, and invite you to do the same on your blog. You are welcome to add your post to the link-up below so we can get to know you a little better, one list at a time. This month’s topic: ways you connect with others.
- highlighting our commonalities
- spending quality time one-on-one
- going out of my way to give them specialized care
- doing something together that’s out of our comfort zones
- spending time in nature (backpacking, hiking, etc.)
- giving notes or cards at unexpected times
- being open, honest, and vulnerable
- asking questions
There are many ways that I connect with others, but these are my go-tos. I find it really fulfilling to specialize the relationships you have, tailoring the way you love to each individual. You really get to know people deeply in this way and show a deeper aspect of yourself. Besides, there’s just something about the energy of nice friendly walks in the natural world… don’t you think?
What are your ways to connect with others?
Check out Gillian’s list of how she makes connections, make a list of your own, share it on your blog, and be sure to submit your post to the link-up below (using #12lists2016 on social media). Feel free to use the post header provided, just be sure to link to the original posts. Happy list-making!
