The One Word Inspiration series is a guest post series on Clear the Way which asks different visiting bloggers to share whatever they are inspired to share when they hear only one word. The word changes each month and today Jenelle from Thirty Plus Mom is here to share her inspiration from the word amplified.
While navigating the seas of life in my thirties I’ve made a conscious effort to live more amplified and encourage friends, family, and acquaintances to do the same.
As a twenty-something, I remember holding back. Being a young mother, college student, full-time employee, then by thirty a Wife, all of these roles took precedence over caring for ME.
As we mature and find ways to say YES to us, it’s time to live more Amplified. We say what we feel. Eat what we want. And wear the brightest RED lip color because it feels good. Right?
This progression is an ongoing one that is just a part of the journey. Another way to describe being amplified in life is to “turn up”.
Doesn’t that sound great? Turn up to that exercise class we paid for but forgot to attend. Or maybe eat that yummy piece of dark chocolate your bestie gave you as a thank you. Go ahead, I give you permission.
Magnify, intensify and increase our lives fulfillment by being more amplified should be a daily habit. When I think of a person in my life who did this my maternal Grandmother comes to mind. In September 2014, our family gathered to comfort her as she took her last breath while under Hospice care in North Carolina.
Watching her body and life disappear before my eyes gave me great sadness. Then, as I reflected upon what was before me, I had an overwhelming feeling of peace. Lucille lived a life amplified. This experience renewed my belief that we should live with joy and intention.
Yes, live a life amplified! So what are you waiting for?
