I had seen Palacio de Cristal on a random Instagram account long before the tickets were booked for my trip to Madrid. It looked so fanciful and beautiful; I just couldn’t wait to visit it. The structure was originally built as a large greenhouse but now it is used to show small art exhibits.
The interior was really neat, filled with large rocking chairs and so much sunlight you could almost taste it. I loved the feeling inside this building and was thankful there were no loud people to shatter the quiet. If you ever visit Madrid, I highly recommend stopping by this little “palace” during your trip. Give yourself some time to rest in a rocking chair and soak in the sunshine. (And make sure you go near sunset!)
What is one of the coolest buildings you have seen during your travels?
