The Coffee Dates series on Clear the Way is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better, like we’re having coffee together. Every coffee date I’ll answer some questions and I hope you’ll answer them, too. You can respond in the comments. This month I asked my friends to give me a few questions and they asked me the following, so grab a cup of coffee and join me for Coffee Date #16.
What is something that makes you really happy?
This is something I have been thinking a lot about lately, since my sister Gigi and I wrote about the things that make us feel most like ourselves for this month’s 12 Lists series. (Have you joined in the fun yet? You should!) One thing that is one of the best things to happen in my life so far is the program I’m attending at SFSU. Studying Women and Gender Studies involves reading and thinking in-depth about really heavy topics but, at the end of the day, I am so happy to be a part of the important work.
Do you like spicy food?
I didn’t used to. In fact, I had zero tolerance for any kind of spicy flavor (including black pepper!) Over the years, I started experimenting with different flavors, especially after I went vegan. Now I can handle a good amount of spice, but I’m picky about what kind. For example, I love red hot sauce but I really don’t like the flavor of jalapeño.
What was your favorite part of your day so far?
I spent today Spring-cleaning my apartment and it feels so great to just sit back and relax in it with everything all tidy and beautiful. Since blogging makes me happy, this—right now—is my favorite part of the day.
So tell me, Dear Readers:
- What is something that makes you really happy?
- Do you like spicy food?
- What was your favorite part of your day so far?
