My sister Gillian from Chez Gillian and I created the 12 Lists series last year which was so much fun, we’ve decided to continue it in 2016. 12 Lists is a monthly list-making series for those who love writing lists. Each month we announce the topic, write our lists accordingly, and invite you to do the same on your blog. You are welcome to add your post to the link-up below so we can get to know you a little better, one list at a time. This month’s topic: make a list of things to be better at in 2016.
- Being okay with being vulnerable.
- Accepting mistakes with grace.
- Making the healthy choices the easy choices.
- Being honest with myself about my feelings.
- Seeing the good in others.
- Standing on my own two foot when I need to.
- Not being afraid of silence.
- Slowing down when I need to.
- Making peace with unmet expectations.
- Believing in myself.
The past year was a year of learning my worth the hard way. I proved myself in school, relationships, and through my work online. I discovered how capable I am at being a whole, thriving person. I learned that mistakes are not tombstones and that holding on to my beliefs will always be worth it. I whittled away at some of the weeds growing in my mind and heart. I planted many good seeds—some of which I am already harvesting. In 2016, I want to continue this work. I want to continue living an open, honest life with an even stronger mind and even fuller heart.
What will you be better at this year?
