At the beginning of this month, I told you that I would be taking a break from blogging. During this break, I visited my friend Emilie in Connecticut, got settled into my new apartment, and began my first week of classes at San Francisco State University. I am feeling refreshed from the pause and eagerly looking forward to kicking up September with you all here on Clear the Way. I have a lot of great content I’m waiting to share and I’m really looking forward to exploring how my blog will grow and change as I enter the next few months of life as a college student.
My trip to the East Coast was really great and one of the best parts of my visit with Emilie was the mini road-trip we took into New York to visit The Cloisters museum and gardens. I especially loved the herb garden, the beautiful stained glass pieces, the Hunt of the Unicorn tapestries, and all the incredible architecture throughout the museum. After we made our rounds, we sat and talked about art, history, and faith. We then headed up to the little restaurant for a meal under a tent (much like a wedding reception) and welcomed a short rainstorm’s refreshment while we ate.
I had a great time but was really relieved to return to a foggy, cool home after so much exposure to the stifling humidity there. I am settling in nicely to my beautiful little apartment (I promise I’ll share soon) and really looking forward to digging in deep with my classes this semester. What have you all been up to?
